Today, on the 11th of July, Bravo Records hosted group TSU Gordellas’ debut album presentation.
For a few months, there were works done on CD album repertoire and studio recordings in Bravo Records. Album’s music conception is about selecting the 12 compositions from the group’s repertoire and making them modern and sound in a new form. For this reason, with Bravo Records special invitation, a very talented and modern composer Liliko Nemsadze composed completely new versions of already existed compositions together with the group’s music manager Tamaz Mamaladze.
Unlike other folklore groups in Georgia, Gordellas’ creation is a new stage in Georgian ethno-art music. There are seven universal musicians in the group which means each of them is a professional vocalist as well as professional instrumentalist. Another strong side of the group is that in every composition musicians use more than ten traditional Georgian instruments, the sound of which won’t leave anyone indifferent.
The story of the group:
TSU Gordella was founded in 2007, in the Tbilisi State University named after Ivane Javaxishvili. Group is a laureate and award-winner of many festivals. In 2012-2013 group had solo concerts in the various cities of the world (Paris, Kiev, Lithuania and etc.) where the inspired foreign audience gave them lots of ovations. In spite of the small period of their existence, Gordella became popular very fast. They constantly arrange concerts and receive media’s attention very often.
CD album will be available from 25th of June in Bravo Records distribution network shops.
