After the opening, Jörg Halubek performed selected works by Johann Sebastian Bach, representing various stages of the composer’s work of music. The captivated audience honored the musician with extended ovations. After the concert, attendees had the opportunity to purchase CD albums from Halubek’s large-scale project Landscapes of Bach’s Organ Music, with the entire stock selling out. Since 2020, Jörg Halubek has carried out a large-scale project titled – Landscapes of Bach’s Organ Music. Within this project, he traveled across different German cities, studied organ-building traditions, explored historic instruments from Bach’s era, and examined how unique cultural characteristics of these cities influenced the sound of Bach’s organ music. Together with a video production team, he visited 10 German cities, performing on the very organs on which Johann Sebastian Bach composed and performed his masterpieces. The project was released as a series of CD albums in cooperation with the record label BERLIN CLASSICS. As part of this journey, Halubek and his team created unique photo and 360-degree VR video material, capturing Bach’s sonic world, the German cities and their surroundings, churches, organs, and the environments in which the great Johann Sebastian Bach lived and created his timeless music. In the 16-year history of Bravo Records, this was the first project the label has implemented in the classical music genre.
