On the 11th of December, Bravo Records studio hosted Howard Gospel’s band. The members of the band recorded two music compositions. On the 9th of December, with the support of American Embassy, Howard Gospel’s band visited Georgia in order to popularize one of the directions of American traditional music. They gave free concerts and master classes in Tbilisi and other regions of Georgia. There are 20 musician-performers in this band and they’re lead by Reginald Golden- fine arts science candidate of Howard University.
Howard Gospel band was formed by Melanie Rosselli and Rosalind Tompkins, in 1968.The band’s former members are the winners of many awards, such as: Grammy award winner Richard Smallwood, Core Cotton, Elbernita Clarke (member of a legendary Clarke Sisters), and also R&B star Angella Winbush. The band gained national acknowledgement by travelling through the continental America, and by travelling to Canada, Italy and Barbados, they gained an international fame.
