Bravo Records presents – Journey to the world of organ music of Johann Sebastian Bach (video)

On October 8, 2024, at 20:00, the big concert hall of the Tbilisi State Conservatory will be dedicated to the organ music of Johann Sebastian Bach. The concert – “Journey to the world of organ music of Johann Sebastian Bach” will be held on the initiative of the leading music business company in Georgia “Bravo Records”. The works of the greatest German composer will be performed by the famous German organist, harpsichordist and conductor, professor of the State Music Universities of Linz and Stuttgart, Jörg Halubeck, who is considered one of the best performers in the world on medieval instruments – organ and harpsichord. At the same time, Jörg Halubek is one of the greatest researchers of medieval music. Several forgotten operas and many musical pieces from the Baroque period have been discovered by him.

In 2004, after winning the 14th International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition in Leipzig, Jörg Halubeck undertook a large-scale project entitled “Bach’s Organ Landscapes”. Within the framework of the project, he studied the traditions of organ building in various German cities, came in contact with historical instruments from Bach’s time and investigated the influence of the cultural features characteristic of these cities on the sounds of Johann Sebastian Bach’s organ music. Jörg Halubeck traveled to 10 cities in Germany with a video crew, played the organs on which Johann Sebastian Bach performed his genius creations, and released this unique musical project as a series of CD albums together with the BERLIN CLASSICS record label. As a result of this trip, Jörg Halubeck and his video crew created a unique photo and 360° VR video material, which, within the framework of this unique project, captured the sound world of Bach – German cities and their surroundings, churches, organs, the environment where Genius Johann Sebastian Bach lived and created his eternal music.

In 2007, at the concerts held on 14 Sundays, Jörg Halubeck performed all the organ works of Johann Sebastian Bach. He participates in Bach festivals around the world and performs with various orchestras on concert stages around the world as a harpsichordist. In 2008, under his leadership, the famous baroque orchestra called “IL gusto barocco” was created.

So, on October 8, in the big concert hall of the State Conservatory, Jorg Halubek’s Bach organ music project will be presented to Georgian listeners!

Attend an unforgettable evening and travel to the world of the amazing organ music of the genius Johann Sebastian Bach!
